Job Title: Cloud Solutions Architect

Location: Nigeria

Responsibilities

  • The Cloud Solutions Architect will develop and articulate solutions based on a customer’s strategic business or technical requirements ascertained from working with multiple business units across the customer’s organization.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Provide subject matter expertise and recommendations for Cloud-computing technologies and architectural patterns and maintain responsibility for the design of customer solutions.
  • Provide technical and business consultative leadership throughout the technical life cycle of cloud solutions.
  • Actively involved from pre-sales solution formulation through system deployment; including bid preparation and customer interface resulting in cloud solutions architecture proposals.
  • Develop and articulate solutions based on a customer’s strategic business or technical requirements ascertained from working with multiple business units across the customer’s organization.
  • Assess solutions for their commercial merits and provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Maintain awareness of existing or potential customer software/hardware situations and proactively alert the project management, engineering, and customer facing groups of potential problems based upon strong working knowledge of cloud solutions including software/hardware compatibility within the customer’s environment.
  • The Cloud Solutions Architect will stay current on technical specifications for cloud hardware/software requirements of industry products through professional associations, trade journals, networking, and associated training and seminars.
  • Develop and propose solutions.
  • Prepare technical solutions architectural and implementation design documents.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to define project deliverables and schedules and help to identify and leverage resources in order to satisfy the technical needs and objectives of the implementation.
  • Where required, especially for complex or novel solutions, the solutions architect may need to step into a project management role to manage delivery
  • As required, the Cloud Solutions Architect may be called upon to support network and datacenter operations to meet customer requirements & business objectives.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Information Communication Technology or Engineering.
  • At least five (5) years industry experience.
  • At least two (2) years’ experience in a Cloud Solutions Architect role.

Job Title: Building Management System (BMS) Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Responsibilities

  • The Building Management System (BMS) Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and monitoring of the MDXi Lekki Data Center, comprising of Data Center electrical & mechanical components such as CHILLERS, CRAC/CRAH VESDA & FM200, Access Control, CCTV, Water Leakage Detection etc., equipment within and outside Lagos. From a technical support standpoint, the resource will work closely with the technical team.
  • Monitoring and reporting of all mechanical systems (Chillers, CRAH/CRAC, AHU, Access Control etc.), daily, weekly and monthly.
  • Preparation and Submission of Daily, Weekly and Monthly Reports.
  • Troubleshoot and fix day-to-day operational problems pertaining to the BMS system.
  • Support for Reviews & Audits, Audit tracker updating and coordination.
  • Ensuring that the team is meeting the SLAs with internal clients in all aspects.
  • In addition, the BMS Engineer will be responsible for the following:
  • Knowledge of BMS server, DCIM Server, NVR, CHILLERS, CRAH/CRAC, VESDA & FM200, Access Control, CCTV Systems, HVAC Systems, intrusion detection etc.
  • Monitoring and reporting of All Electrical systems (Energy Meters, UPS, PDU, Feeders & Transformers) Reading and Consumption According daily, weekly and monthly.
  • You will support and ensure that all applicable security standards – including the ISO9001, ISO27001 (ISMS), and PCI Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is duly complied with for quality assurance.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • BSc in Electrical and Electronics / Mechanical / Computer Engineering or other relevant disciplines with 4 – 5 years work experience
  • Understanding of electrical, mechanical and telecommunications principles, transmission, and IP networks etc.
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills, multitasking with an ability to interact with a wide range of people and be a good team player and a positive frame of mind and be open to acquiring new skills
  • Transferable experience and knowledge of structured cabling.
  • Good knowledge of ITIL, SQL, Windows server 2012, VMWare

Job Title: Cloud Support Officer

Responsibilities

  • The Cloud Support Officer will be responsible for providing first level support to MainOne Cloud & Managed services customers in line with customer SLA requirement.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Respond to operational requests with Work Breakdown Schedules (WBS) or implementation plan
  • Work with the GNOC team, Cloud operations team as well as the Managed services team in a shift system to provide 24/7 support to Cloud customers.
  • Troubleshoot (Microsoft Private cloud with Windows Azure pack and Azure Stack), cloud (AWS, Azure) and hybrid solutions.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement potential improvementsto service efficiency.
  • Comply with support processes and procedures to ensure customer satisfaction and service level objectives (SLO) are met.
  • Identify, recommend and implement potential improvements to service efficiency.
  • Ensure quality, up-to-date documentation exists for all service arrangements
  • Work with the Cloud Implementation, and Cloud Solutions teams to deliver customer projects.

  • Ability to follow through project phases or life cycle, following Project implementation guidelines to achieve effectiveness in project delivery

Job Title: Cloud Database & Storage Administrator

  • The Database Administrator will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of databases.

  • Design/implement data persistence solutions with the right database solution.
  • Implementation of best practice guidelines and policies relating to databases as well as capacity planning of databases, storage and backup.

Job Title: Field Support Engineer

Location: Nigeria

Responsibilities

  • Track and repair signal outages on Gpon including signal leakages on the network in coordination with Engineering, Maintenance and NOC teams
  • Ensure sites are attended to within SLA.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • First Degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the design and construction of Fiber Optic Networks, including 2 years of experience at various levels of project management .
  • A comparable amount of training, education and experience may be substituted in lieu of some of the minimum qualification
  • Good knowledge of GPON protocol (ITU-T G.98x standards) and/or a strong experience of GPON equipment configuration (OLT & ONT) is mandatory
  • Considerable knowledge of design and construction practice on GPON fiber optic networks
  • Good knowledge of equipment and technologies like:
    • Ethernet access networks (VLAN bridging, cross-connect)

Job Title: Finance Operations Officer
