While there is some flexibility with work hours, the candidate must have the ability to work on campus within the CSS office hours (Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Enrolled part or full-time in a Graduate program at Cabrini University
Must have a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average

Job Description Summary
POSITION SUMMARY: The Graduate Assistant will work under the supervision of the Assistant Director, Academic Advising and the programming director for the ACT 101 (SOAR) program and academic support liaison for the DreamUS program. The GA will assist with coordinating student success and retention initiatives designed to maintain student enrollment. This position may also be required to support the Center for Student Success by helping to staff the Grace Hall office suite, welcoming CSS guests and directing visitors to the appropriate offices/staff members.
The GA position is for the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 semesters.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in the development and execution of programs and services to promote academic advising and student retention, primarily for the ACT 101 and DreamUS programs.
Programming includes setting up and assisting with academic coaching meetings, as well as planning and implementing student workshops and events.
Meet and follow-up with students who are identified as at-risk of leaving the institution or struggling academically.
Assist in establishing and implementing coordinated processes for the routine and timely collection, analysis, dissemination and application of data relevant to the improvement of academic advising and student retention.
Attend advising and retention-related events and meetings as requested.
Assist the Center for Student Success with basic office functions (i.e. make copies, create mailings, help at CSS events, filing, maintaining a clean and organized office environment, etc.)
Answer telephone calls and relay messages to CSS staff, as needed.
Assist the Center for Student Success with advertising office events (i.e. updating social media and creating flyers).
Responsible for special projects as assigned by the Assistant Director or Dean for Retention and Student Success.
Other duties as assigned.
