About:
Anambra state ministry of health manages the overall health system of the state. Operationally, the Anambra State ministry of Health is a decentralized health structures of the Federal government. The Commissioner of health presides over affairs of ministry while the permanent Secretary functions as the administrative head. The directors of different thematic reports directly to the permanent secretary of health at the state level. There also exist regulatory bodies such as pharmacist council, nursing council, medical and dental council etc. who regulates the activities of their respective professions.
Anambra State Civil Service Commission in conjunction with Anambra State Ministry of Health invites suitable qualified candidates for appointment into the Anambra State Civil Service in the under listed posts:
1. Position: Medical Officers
a) Consultants, GL.15:
Qualification:
Applicant must be in Possession of the part II final Examination Certificate of the Fellowship of the National Post-Graduate Medical College of Nigeria or its Equivalent in the candidate’s Specialty
b) Medical Officer, GL. 12
Qualification:
applicant must have a degree in medicine.
Must be registrated with medical and dental council of Nigeria (MDCN) from a recognized institution, plus one year post-registration cognate experience.

Qualification:
Must posses B.Sc in Nursing plus the registration of Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).

Qualifications:
